speak truth in love
Our Mission
New Life in Christ International Ministries exists to bring believers into spiritual maturity.
"Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ."
Our Values
BE THE VOICE
Based on our Church verse, we aim to speak the truth in love. There is nothing more lovely than hearing the good news in a positive, heart-warming, and empowering way. We do not only use our mouths but as well as our hands, feet, minds, media, and music! We serve to be the extension of Jesus' hands, feet and voice, using whatever means necessary.
UNITED PEOPLE
Here at NLCIM, we make it clear that we love all, serve all, speak the truth in love, and help make a lasting impact in your life through Jesus. We aim to serve this city by being the extension of the hands of Jesus, the feet of Jesus, and the voice of Jesus. We are a church that believes in Jesus, we believe in God, and we believe in the Word of God. We are a church with a heart for genuine worship, and we believe in the importance of transparency; speaking truth in love, and inviting everyone and anyone to the Kingdom of God. That's the driving force behind everything that we do.
HONEST WORSHIP
Just over a year and a half old with a congregation of almost 200 with room for many more, we thrive on the sense of close-knit community that allows us to challenge each other, support each other, learn, grow, and fuel one another's faith in Jesus. And when all of these small groups gather together as one, we stand united to worship our living God.
PASSIONATE SERVICE
At Church, we strive to become the "Leading Church" our city and country needs. Our teams and its servants serve from victory and for the future! With, without or with little experience, God uses our people because of people.
POWER OF PRAYER
When the going gets rough, we have a community that strongly believes that prayer heals, blesses, answers and renews.
JESUS IS THE CENTRE
In all things, Jesus still stands.
Our Beliefs
+ TRINITY +
We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing and revealed to us as the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ, God incarnate), and the Holy Spirit
(Matthew 28:19, I John. 1:1, John 1:14)
+ JESUS CHRIST +
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, substitutionary death for our sins, bodily resurrection, ascension unto God, and imminent return in power and glory
(Matthew 1:21-25, Isaiah 53:5, Matthew 28:5-6; Acts 1:9; John 14:3)
+ THE BIBLE +
We believe that the Holy Scriptures are the inspired, inerrant, and complete revelation of God's will for man. It is in the Bible that God reveals His plan of salvation (through the grace of Jesus Christ), as well as His will for our daily lives
(2 Tim. 3:16-17; I Peter 1:23-25; Heb. 4:12)
+ VALUE OF PEOPLE +
We believe that man was created in God's image. By voluntary transgression man fell and his only hope of redemption is through God's Son, Jesus Christ (Gen. 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Rom. 5:12-21)
+ OUR SALVATION +
We believe that men are saved solely through faith in God's grace, as displayed in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- Salvation is received by believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and by confessing with your mouth, Jesus as your Lord (Rom. 3:24, 10:8-10).
- The inward evidence of salvation, to the believer, is the direct witness of the Spirit (Rom. 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of true holiness and love (I Jn. 3:23; Jn. 13:35).
- Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and not by human works. However our works are evidence of our faith and will determine our rewards in eternity (Rom. 10:9-10, 14:10-12; II Cor. 5:10; Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; James 2:18).
+ BAPTISM +
We believe in water baptism as a public declaration to the world that a believer has died with Christ and has risen with Him to walk a life of holiness and love (Mt. 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Rom. 6:4)
+ ONE CHURCH +
We believe in the unity of all true believers as Members of the universal Church (the Body of Christ) regardless of denominational affiliation (Eph. 1:22, 2:19-22; Heb. 12:23)
+ COMMUNION +
We believe in the celebration of the Lord's Supper as a remembrance of Jesus (I Cor. 11:24-30)
+ HOLY SPIRIT +
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit:
- By the inward witness of salvation to the believer (Romans 8:16)
- By daily guidance and the growth of Christ-like character (John 16:13; Galatians 5:22-23)
- By the baptism of the Holy Spirit, an experience distinct from and subsequent to the new birth, evidenced initially by speaking with other tongues, and subsequently by the manifestation of spiritual power in public testimony and service (Acts 1:8, 2:4, 10:44-46, 19:2,6). All believers are entitled to, and should ardently expect and earnestly seek, this promise of the Father (Acts 2:38-39)
+ THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST +
We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again to gather His saints unto Himself (I Cor. 15:51-52; I Thess. 4:16-17; II Thess. 2:12). Those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal separation from the Godhead in the Lake of Fire (2 Thess. 1:7-10; Rev. 19:20, 20:10-15)
+ ETERNAL REIGN +
We believe in the Millennial Reign of Jesus. The Lord Jesus Christ will return with His saints from Heaven to rule and reign on the earth for one thousand years as the Scriptures have promised (Rev. 19:11-16, 20:1-4) After this, there will be a new heaven and a new earth (Rev. 21:1-4)
